Page Speed May Become a Ranking Factor on Google

It looks like Google are looking at Website Page speed as possibly been the new Page ranking factor, if this is the case it would only change next 2010 so it will give alot of website owners and webmasters some time to re-evaluate their sites and make sure their sites load in a reasonable time.

Google recently announced a Site Speed site, which provides webmasters with even more resources specifically aimed at speeding up their pages.

It will be interesting to see what sort of reaction this will bring on in the internet community.
